This is community space, community participation, community connection, community being for Queer/LGBTQIA+ community and any allies who come with community members. This is a space for all adult queer bodies, whatever shape, size, age, ability, gender, skin tone, bendyness. Come as you are and just be you on your mat. Movement optional so long as you're listening to what your body needs in that moment. We will be practicing a mixture of movement and stillness from standing, sitting and lying down. All is optional and lying on your mat for the entire time is still yoga if that's what your body needs. I combine various yoga styles infused with trauma sensitive and resilience building approaches. My training originated in Kundalini Yoga and this will probably be the core of it, but I have evolved it as I have evolved my own practice and training. The class for the time being will be in my garden in central Worthing. For colder weather I will look for an indoor venue but the complexity that is navigating public spaces as a queer person felt too hard and I just wanted to offer a safe space where we can all be ourselves without judgement. For now, that is my garden. Gazebo will be up for rain. Please bring a mat, blanket, cushion and any other equipment. I have some but not enough. Wear whatever you feel comfortable in and can move easily and unrestricted. I want this to be as accessible as possible whilst also recognising the costs to me to provide this. I am offering low wage/unwaged reduced prices on a trust basis, as well as standard prices for those who can afford it. If you would like to come but really cannot afford to pay, please contact me and I can sort this out. I am also offering block bookings of 4 sessions over 6 weeks for a reduced price if you'd like to come regularly and can make that saving. Please book here so I know who is coming.
