About the retreat

Friday 26th - Sunday 28th November 2021

This is a two night weekend retreat, in the beautiful Somerset hills countryside.  Surrounded by nature, the Quantock Hills and on a working dairy farm, and yet not far from Taunton, making it easy if you come by train.

Come and join us on a reset and rejuvenating yoga and meditation retreat.  Connect to others in person that you've practiced with online, connect to nature, connect to and share your inner light, and the light of the stars and firelight.

All meals are vegetarian (will be mostly vegan), made with fresh local ingredients, with love and care by Ruth.  Meals include large brunches and dinners and unlimited snacks and are included in the retreat costs.

We will practice different forms of yoga and meditation 2-3 times a day, including morning waking yoga to stretch, open and energise the body and mind; pre-dinner yoga to reflect, restore and balance the mind, body and soul; and after dinner relaxing and restorative practices to aid a good night's sleep.  All practices are included in the cost of the retreat.  All meditation and yoga will be led by Chiara and Ruth and will include kundalini yoga, womb yoga, yoga nidra, visioning meditations, sound healings, sharing circles, fire ceremonies, and deep listening.

The retreat is in a large, old, characterful farmhouse on a working dairy farm in the Quantock Hills in Somerset.  Lovingly modernised, it retains its original charm (and some wonkiness) whilst providing modern and comfortable spaces to relax and rest in.  The living room includes a working open fire, and the kitchen is farmhouse style with a big family table which we will eat together around.  The windows are large and show views of the pretty garden, the farm and upstairs windows show the Quantock Hills.

There is free time after brunch to walk in the countryside, and explore the surrounding areas, or to relax with a book in the living room.  There will also be an opportunity to visit the farm (optional).  Reiki and Sat Nam Rasayan healing treatments will also be available (extra charge).

Set in the Quantock Hills, but 5 minutes drive from Taunton station - this farmhouse offers the best of both worlds - being connected by road and trains, but feeling a world away from it, with expansive views across the countryside, allowing you to slow down, reconnect to nature and to your own rhythms.

Food

All food at the retreat is lovingly prepared for you by Ruth, our retreat host.  All food is vegetarian and allergies and intolerances can be catered for.  Other diets, except for vegan, cannot be, unfortunately.  Please let us know when booking of any dietary requirements so we can factor these into the menu.  Brunch and dinner are provided for you and included in the cost of the retreat, as is unlimited snacks, teas and coffee.

Meals will be plentiful and delicious, made from scratch with locally sourced, fresh, seasonal ingredients.  It's not expected that you will need lunch, however, if you are hungry, snacks will be available throughout the day.
