About the retreat
Wednesday 25th - Sunday 29th May 2022
This is a 5 day, 4 night retreat, in the stunning Glastonbury. Surrounded by nature and the Avalonian hills, centrally located next to the Abbey, and yet secluded and peaceful.
A retreat to awaken your inner Goddess, your sense of personal strength, power, beauty and joy. We have had some very challenging, stressful and unusual couple of years. Come on retreat, let some of that go, allow yourself to heal and come back to your core, your balance, your truth. Supported healing to create space for you to connect into your sense of creativity and allowing your heart to open again. This retreat will use a mix of kundalini yoga, womb yoga, yoga nidra, sound and mantra healing, dance, movement, pranayama and meditation, and rest and relaxation to fully hold and support you to awaken your inner Goddess and reclaim your power.
All meals are vegetarian, made with fresh local and seasonal ingredients, made with love and care by the Queen of Cups team. Meals include large brunches and dinners. Snacks and drinks throughout the day are included in retreat costs.
The retreat is in a large, old, characterful house, formerlly the Abbot's residence. There are two houses - the original Abbot's house, and the newer Garden house, at the back of the garden. The house has been sensitively modernised to be comfortable and relaxing whilst retaining its original charms. The walled gardens back into the Abbey grounds and have large shady trees, a fish pond and a large Tara Goddess statue. There is also a patio with some comfy places to sit and relax with a book, and a hot tub to massage weary muscles.
Abbot's Leigh is located in the middle of Glastonbury, next to the Abbey, and yet still peaceful and relaxing. Glastonbury town is a quirky spiritual town with independent shops and cafes, with plenty to draw you in. You can explore the Tor, the Chalice well and gardens, the Abbey, and the beautiful countryside surrounding it. Said to the be heart chakra of the earth, it has drawn spiritual seekers for thousands of years, inspired by the legends and tales of King Arthur and Merlin.
This retreat is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the healing energies of Glastonbury, from the waters of the springs, the ley lines under the Tor, or being with the Goddess energies of the Goddess Temple (opposite Abbots Leigh). Connect to nature, to her cycles, and rhythms with a tree walk with the wonderful Matt and his guitar. Unwind your muscles and release tension with the magical Alice and her treatments of massage, reflexology and acupuncture.
