Service Description

This class is a foundation of kundalini yoga and meditation with somatic yoga and embodied practices woven in, or bringing somatic body understanding to kundalini movements and postures, so that you can understand why the posture works, what its doing for you, and how you can do it at home or work when you need a reset. This is about tapping into the wisdom already in your body - you already know yourself best - and finding ways to access what is already here. It's a deep remembering of your true self, an unlearning of all the expectations and boxes of society, and a way to become more connected to you, your authentic you. This is not bendy stretchy gym yoga. This is is both gentle, powerful, grounded, empowered yoga where you are in control of what you do, how you do it, and when you do it. I guide you, but you know yourself best and everyone in class will be doing something different and that is welcome. All adult bodies are welcome regardless of ability, experience, shape, size, dis-ease, bendyness, gender, melanation, or brain make up. Mental health, physical health and neurodivergent bodies and minds welcome. You don't need to perform this yoga, you release into it. You don't need to mask, just come as you are, however you are, whatever is going on for you, to your mat or bolster or chair, and practice allowing it to be present and that to be ok. Wear anything comfortable that you can move in. Bring some water, layers for relaxation and meditation (and don't worry if you can't relax or meditate - this is for people who can't do either!)
