Retreats to soothe & reconnect the mind, body & soul
Pre-Christmas refuel and recharge weekend retreat
Yarde Farm, Somerset
26-28th November 2021
A working farm, in rural Somerset, at the edge of the Quantock Hills
We will be staying in the farmhouse and annexe of Yarde Farm, a real working farm full of charm and character but with all the mod cons for a comfortable and relaxing retreat
As with old buildings it is twisty and turny with little steps up and down to rooms, somewhat uneven walls and floors, low doorways, and nooks and crannies. All of this adds to the charm and character of the farmhouse.
We will take time out in the beauty of the countryside to recharge, refuel, retreat and recentre ourselves before we head into the fun and festivities of the Christmas period.
The farm is surrounded by countryside, hills and the nearest neighbours are the farm's dairy cows. Lots of walks right on the doorstep, plenty of space for contemplation, relaxation and reading. You will have the opportunity to see the farm and animals if you wish.
Lots of delicious vegetarian food available throughout the retreat. Dietary requirements can be catered for.
Less than 3 hours from London with regular trains from all major stations to Taunton. Pick up from Taunton on request. Plenty of parking at the farmhouse.
I am a kundalini and nidra yoga and meditation teacher. I especially connect with mantra meditation. I love how kundalini yoga and yoga nidra bring you deep into yourself to reconnect to you.
I am also a retreat chef specialising in vegan and vegetarian food, cooking from scratch with locally sourced, seasonal produce.
Yoga has sustained and supported me through burnout, stress, anxiety and exhaustion and has supported me to heal. I teach from this place of healing and support, regardless of your circumstances. I offer inclusive, accessible, open and safe spaces.
I am qualified in both Kundalini and Yin Yoga, and I enjoy the twin elements these practices bring: of energy-shifting and gentle surrender. In my classes, I incorporate both softness and strength, rising to a challenge and surrendering to the universe. Most of all, I invite you to listen deeply to your own body.
Yoga has held me afloat during my most testing times. Through health challenges, the death of loved ones, heartbreak and the simple stresses of the day-to-day, I always find yoga quietly waiting to hold me up (or allow me to fall to pieces when I need to). I love bringing the tools of yoga, meditation and breathwork to people who need them.
